Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-06-07
These Terms govern your use of Oracle Codex, a symbolic visual intelligence platform operated by Delphine Diallo, New York, NY, United States. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
1. What Oracle Codex is
Oracle Codex generates symbolic readings of objects from photographs. Two reading modes are available: Resonance Study (the original symbolic protocol) and Decolonial History (curatorial, historical, anti-colonial framings).
Every reading is presented as a symbolic interpretation, not absolute truth. Readings are exploratory and reflective; they are not factual identifications, expert appraisals, or scientific claims. Oracle Codex does not speak for any culture or community. For institutional, curatorial, or scholarly decisions, consultation with origin communities and qualified experts is essential.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- One account per person. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- You provide a valid email address you control. Sign-in codes are sent there.
3. Acceptable use
When using Oracle Codex you agree not to:
- Upload images of identifiable people without their consent.
- Upload images you do not have the rights to.
- Upload sexually explicit, violent, or unlawful content.
- Resell, automate, or scrape the service.
- Attempt to extract the underlying prompts or models.
- Misrepresent the readings as factual or expert opinion to third parties.
We may decline to process an image, refuse service, or suspend an account that violates these rules.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the images you upload and the readings generated for your account.
By uploading an image with explicit consent at the moment of upload, you grant Delphine Diallo a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store the image as part of the Oracle Codex curatorial corpus, to process it for the purpose of generating readings, and to display it back to you. The corpus is private; we do not publish your images without separately asking. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to contact@loraclecodex.com; this removes the image from the corpus.
The generated readings are produced specifically for you. We may use anonymized, aggregated learnings (no personal data, no images, no individual readings) to improve the service.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
- Free Layer includes three readings per calendar month. Resonance membership unlocks unlimited readings at the stated monthly or annual price.
- Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account via the Stripe portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds. If you cancel within 7 days of a subscription charge and have not used a paid reading, we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. After 7 days or once paid readings have been used, refunds are prorated against the unused portion of your billing period, processed via Stripe.
- Prices may change. Existing subscribers are notified at least 30 days before a change applies to their next renewal.
- Taxes, where applicable, are your responsibility unless stated otherwise at checkout.
6. No professional advice
Oracle Codex provides symbolic, reflective interpretations only. Nothing in a reading is medical, legal, financial, psychological, or appraisal advice. Do not rely on a reading to make medical, legal, financial, or curatorial-attribution decisions. Consult qualified professionals.
7. Service availability
We strive for high availability but Oracle Codex is provided "as is" and "as available." Generation depends on third-party AI services and may be delayed, refused, or fail entirely. Failed readings do not count against quotas. Material outages will be communicated by email when reasonably feasible.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Delphine Diallo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Oracle Codex. Our total cumulative liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
9. Termination
You can stop using Oracle Codex at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity. Termination ends your access; previously generated readings remain in your account unless deleted on request.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought before the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced by email to active accounts. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
